You subscribed to this app under the Managed License. Use it as-is — the creator runs the version, you don't get the source code, you don't modify it. Your data is yours.
- You get a working copy of the app on your Hatchable account.
- You don't get the source code. The console editor, file viewer, and AI tools are locked on this project.
- Customize through whatever settings the creator's app exposes — logos, colors, copy, configuration. No code editing.
- Your data — the rows in your database, the files you upload — is yours. The Managed license covers the app's source, not your data.
- You cannot redistribute, resell, or extract the source.
- While your subscription is active, you have the right to use the current version. When the subscription ends, that right ends with it.
This is an alternative to buying source code outright. If you want a version you control, look for an Own (Standard license) tier on the same listing — many apps offer both.
1. Grant
While your subscription is active and in good standing, the creator listed on the app's marketplace page (the "Creator") grants you (the "Licensee") a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to operate one instance of the app (the "Software") on the Hatchable platform under your account, for your own purposes, including for the operation of your own business or organization.
2. Source Code Not Delivered
This license does not grant access to the Software's source code. The platform enforces this through technical controls: file-read and file-write tools are disabled on Software instances licensed under this agreement, the console editor is hidden, and AI agents acting on your account cannot read or modify the Software's source. Attempting to circumvent these controls — including by copying files via undocumented endpoints, extracting them via export tooling, or any other method — is a breach of this license and the Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Permitted Use
You may:
- Run one instance of the Software, as delivered, on the Hatchable platform under your account.
- Configure the Software through whatever settings, admin panels, or environment variables the Creator has exposed for that purpose.
- Use the Software to operate your own business or service, including services you provide to your customers.
- Store and process data through the Software. Your data is yours; this license does not transfer ownership of it.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Attempt to obtain the Software's source code through any means.
- Redistribute or resell the Software, in any form, to any third party.
- Reverse engineer the Software, except where reverse engineering is permitted by applicable law that cannot be contractually waived.
- Reuse the Software as a component, template, or starting point for any other product or work.
- Use the Software outside the scope of an active, paid subscription.
5. Updates
The Creator may release updates to the Software at their discretion. Two update modes are available, set per-app on the marketplace listing:
- Auto-update (creator-opted-in): when the Creator publishes a new version, it lands on every active subscriber's instance. Buyer's data is preserved; only the source is replaced. Migrations run against the buyer's database.
- Version-pinned (default): the buyer's instance stays on the version current at the time of purchase. New versions don't auto-apply. The buyer can re-subscribe to obtain the latest version, at which point any data migrations run.
You do not have a contractual right to any specific version, feature, or future development; the Creator decides what to ship and when.
6. Subscription Term and Termination
This license persists only while your subscription is active. Your subscription renews automatically at the interval described on the marketplace listing (typically monthly). You may cancel at any time through the Hatchable billing interface; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, after which your license terminates.
On termination — whether by your cancellation, non-payment, breach of this license, or delisting by the Creator or Hatchable — your right to use the Software ends. You retain access to your data; you must not continue to operate the Software for any new purposes.
7. Your Data
Data you store in or process through the Software (database rows, uploaded files, configuration values) is yours. On termination of this license, you may export your data through the Hatchable export tooling, which produces a portable copy of your project's database and accompanying files. Hatchable retains your data per the retention rules in the Terms of Service.
8. No Warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Creator and Hatchable disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the Creator, Hatchable, or any contributor be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or its use, except as required by applicable law for paid services.
9. Service Availability
Availability of the Software depends on the Hatchable platform and on the Creator's continued maintenance. Hatchable does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Where the Creator delists or stops maintaining the app, Hatchable will give reasonable notice to active subscribers and may at its discretion offer a transition period or refund for the unused portion of a paid term.
10. Refunds
Subscription refunds are handled per the Hatchable Terms of Service. As a general matter, cancellations take effect at the end of the current period and prepaid amounts for the current period are not refunded except in the case of platform-level service failure or where required by applicable law.
11. Relationship to Hatchable's Terms
This license governs your rights with respect to the Software. Your use of the Hatchable platform itself remains subject to the Hatchable Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
