Is Claude Code actually free to host here?

Yes. Personal-use projects are free forever: no credit card, no time limit, no credit cap. You can also publish one app to the open web free, with a Built on Hatchable badge. You pay only for more: Builder ($12/mo, one flat fee for every site on your account) adds unlimited public sites, custom domains, and badge removal; App ($39/mo per app) gives a business app its own dedicated capacity. What kinds of apps can I build?

Web apps with a database, auth, and file storage — CRMs, client intake forms, marketing sites, internal tools, personal dashboards, chore charts. Anything Claude Code can describe that fits a standard web stack. Real-time features, heavy media, and native mobile apps aren't a good fit yet.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe what you want in plain English, Claude Code writes the code, and Hatchable hosts it. Most users don't read the code the AI produces — the AI handles that end. Everything is exportable if you ever want to.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on the Builder plan ($12/mo). One flat Builder fee covers every site on your account, with no per-site upcharge. Personal projects on the free plan get a subdomain under hatchable.site.

Can I move my code off Hatchable later?

Always. You own your code and your database. Export whenever you want — nothing is held hostage behind a paid plan or a proprietary format.
