How to Publish a Claude Design Website (Free)

Claude Design makes the design and the prototype. Hatchable makes it a live website: hand it to Claude Code, or import the export, and you get a real URL, a database and sign-in. Free, no card.

What happens next

Step 1

Export, or hand off

In Claude Design, use Send to Claude Code (local or web) when the site needs data or sign-in. Use Export as standalone HTML or Download as .zip when it is a static page. Both options are in the export menu as of August 2026; the menu is Anthropic's and can change.

Step 2

Make it live

Handoff route: in Claude Code run claude mcp add --transport http hatchable https://hatchable.com/mcp, approve the sign-in, then ask "deploy this project to Hatchable". Export route: open /deploy and upload the zip or paste the GitHub repo. Either way you get your-site.hatchable.site.

Step 3

Add what a real site needs

Ask your AI for the parts a design cannot carry: a contact form that saves to the database, sign-in for members, email confirmations, your own domain (Builder, $12 a month). It is a sentence each, not a rebuild.

Which route should I take?

A marketing page, portfolio or landing page with no data: export and import. It is the fastest path and nothing is rebuilt; the HTML you designed is what serves.

Anything with a form, sign-in, a list that changes, payments or email: hand it to Claude Code connected to Hatchable. Claude Code keeps the design and adds the database, routes and sign-in on Hatchable's stack, then deploys. You can ask for changes in plain language afterwards.

What Claude Design exports, as of August 2026

Anthropic's help center lists standalone HTML, a .zip download, PDF and PowerPoint exports, a Canva export, a handoff to Claude Code (local or web), and a set of partner destinations. That list is theirs and moves; check it in the product. Whatever you export, the HTML and CSS are yours to host anywhere, including here.

What you get on the free tier

  • A live URL at your-site.hatchable.site, hosted for you.
  • A real database, sign-in, file storage, scheduled jobs, and email.
  • One published site free; unlimited published sites and your own domain for a flat $12 a month.

Frequently asked

Does Hatchable host Claude Design files directly?
Yes for static exports: upload the zip at /deploy and it serves as-is at a live URL. For a site that stores data or signs people in, hand the design to Claude Code connected to Hatchable and it builds the working version here.
Do I need Claude Code?
Not for a static export. For a site with a database or sign-in, use Claude Code or Claude with the Hatchable connector; both are free to connect and the free plan has no card.
Will it keep my design?
The export is your own HTML and CSS, so a static import is pixel-for-pixel. On the Claude Code route, ask it to keep the design exactly and add the backend around it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The Builder plan ($12 a month) includes 5 custom domains and unlimited published sites. The free plan publishes one site at your-site.hatchable.site.
Is Hatchable a Claude Design alternative?
No. Claude Design designs and prototypes; Hatchable is where the finished site runs, with a database, sign-in and hosting. Use them together.
