Generate harmonious color palettes for design projects. Save favorites and export in multiple formats.
The prompt
Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, or any AI tool connected to Hatchable via MCP.
Build a color palette generator tool. The main screen shows 5 color blocks across the screen. Press spacebar or click "Generate" to create a new random harmonious palette. Users can lock individual colors and regenerate the rest. Each color shows its HEX, RGB, and HSL values with a copy button. Include palette generation modes: Random, Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, and Split-Complementary. Users sign up to save favorite palettes to a library. Include a "explore" feed showing recently saved palettes from all users. Add an export option (CSS variables, Tailwind config, or image). The design should let the colors speak — minimal UI. Deploy it on Hatchable when done.
How to use this template
Connect Hatchable to your AI tool
Add Hatchable as an MCP server in your AI tool of choice. You'll need your API key from Console → Settings. See our setup guides for Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
Copy the prompt and paste it
Hit the Copy button above, switch to your AI tool, and paste. The prompt is written to produce a complete, deployable app using Hatchable's platform features.
Your AI builds and deploys it
Your AI writes the code, creates a project on Hatchable, and deploys it. You'll get a live URL you can share immediately — no server setup, no billing.
Customize it
After the initial build, try asking your AI to add any of these:
Add a color picker to choose a base color for generation
Include a contrast checker for accessibility (WCAG)
Add a palette from image feature (extract dominant colors)
