Digital Journal and Diary

Productivity Beginner Database

A private daily journal with mood tracking, writing prompts, and a searchable archive of past entries.

The prompt

Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, or any AI tool connected to Hatchable via MCP.

Build a private daily journal for one user — me. No in-app sign-up or login; Hatchable's platform auth gates the site to the owner so my entries stay private by default. Each entry is one row with: date (unique — one entry per day), a mood (5-emoji scale from great to awful), an optional "grateful for" short field, and a longer free-writing body. The main view is today's entry in a clean writeable editor — serif font in the body, warm paper-like background. Autosave while I type. A left-side month calendar shows a colored dot on each day that has an entry, shaded by mood; clicking a day loads that entry into the editor. A keyword search box filters days. Small word count under the body. Vanilla JS, no framework. Deploy on Hatchable when done.

How to use this template

  1. Connect Hatchable to your AI tool

Add Hatchable as an MCP server in your AI tool of choice. You'll need your API key from Console → Settings. See our setup guides for Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.

  2. Copy the prompt and paste it

Hit the Copy button above, switch to your AI tool, and paste. The prompt is written to produce a complete, deployable app using Hatchable's platform features.

  3. Your AI builds and deploys it

Your AI writes the code, creates a project on Hatchable, and deploys it. You'll get a live URL you can share immediately — no server setup, no billing.

Customize it

After the initial build, try asking your AI to add any of these:
