A note-taking app with markdown support, folders, tags, and instant search. Write and organize notes in the browser.
The prompt
Copy this prompt and paste it into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, or any AI tool connected to Hatchable via MCP.
Build a note-taking app with markdown support. Users sign up and create notes organized into folders. Each note has a title, markdown body with live preview, and optional tags. The editor should show markdown on the left and rendered preview on the right (split pane). Include a sidebar with a folder tree and a search bar that instantly filters notes by title and content. Support creating, renaming, and deleting folders. Notes auto-save as the user types. Add a "recently edited" section at the top of the sidebar. Clean typography optimized for reading. Deploy it on Hatchable when done.
How to use this template
Connect Hatchable to your AI tool
Add Hatchable as an MCP server in your AI tool of choice. You'll need your API key from Console → Settings. See our setup guides for Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
Copy the prompt and paste it
Hit the Copy button above, switch to your AI tool, and paste. The prompt is written to produce a complete, deployable app using Hatchable's platform features.
Your AI builds and deploys it
Your AI writes the code, creates a project on Hatchable, and deploys it. You'll get a live URL you can share immediately — no server setup, no billing.
Customize it
After the initial build, try asking your AI to add any of these:
Add note sharing with public read-only links
